JED ROWEN (Dr. LANYON)
Jed is thrilled to attend his sixth Starfest / Horrorfest !! Over the years, fans of his work have been treated to such films as Zombie Farm, Attitude for Destruction, Dahmer vs. Gary, and The Ghastly Love of Johnny X. This time around, he’s bringing Brian Barsuglia’s The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde.

GIANNI CAPALDI (MR. HYDE)
Award winning actor Gianni Capaldi was born in Motherwell, Scotland to his Italian parents. Recently credited with Best actor awards from San Diego’s IndieFest and Chicago’s Amarcord film festival.

Capaldi has acting credits in: action drama Crossroads, romantic drama Don’t Pass Me By, Jeremy London’s directorial debut, supernatural thriller Devils Dozen, where Capaldi stars alongside C Thomas Howell, Jake Bussey and Eric Roberts; Jason Mewes superhero action comedy Vigilante Diaries, moralistic and paranormal drama The Between with child actors Joel Courtney and Isabelle Furhman.

DAVID BEATTY (MR. UTTERSON)
David Beatty was born in Huntington Beach California.  He attended college in Colorado and growing interest in acting led him to the theater department of Adams State University where he made his stage debut in Thornton Wilder’s ‘The Skin of our Teeth.’ Following graduation, he began his professional acting career at the Creede Repertory Theater and his work in theater, film and television has taken him all over the country and around the globe.

In 2005 Beatty launched Double Yellow Line Films, a film production company that inspires and entertains audiences around the globe. Beatty received his MFA from the University of California Davis where he was also an instructor in courses including acting, directing and screen writing.

Beatty is based in Los Angeles and known for his roles in Get Spy (2015-), Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (2017), Lien On Me (2010-2011), Criminal Minds (2009) and his directorial debut feature film Surviving New Year’s (2008).

STEVE PISA (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER)
Steve spent 16 years in Colorado as the owner and operator of a Kung Fu school.  He has served as an executive producer on The Lackey, Six Feet Down Under, Nerd Kore TV, When the Fever Breaks and, of course, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

 

FILM PREMIERE:

Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde

This true-to-the-text retelling of Stevenson’s classic story has won, to date, fifteen awards, including six Best Feature Awards. Jed himself won the INDIEfest’s Best Supporting Actor Award for his role of Dr. Lanyon in the movie. Jed is honored to share the screen in this timeless epic with Academy Award winner Mickey Rooney in his very last film.

Margaret O’Brien, yet another Academy Award winner, graces the film as well, along with such luminaries as Vernon Wells, of Road Warrior and Commando fame, William McNamara (Copycat), and David Beatty, who will also be attending Starfest. Jed recently attended The 2017 Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose, where he starred in the short film, Subculture. Look for him in the soon to be released sci-fi epic Eruption: L.A. from MarVista Entertainment, and the cult classic-to-be Giantess Attack.
