Moriah Hummer is a self-published author and artist of her comic book, Flat Track Furies. As a strong believer in women’s empowerment, she created a comic with characters that are dynamic and layered, and hopes the message of acceptance, female friendship, and the strength of the women’s community come through in her work. Although she loves making comics, she’ll pursue art in almost any medium! She’s recently combined her love for drawing and motorcycles by creating a one-of-a-kind motorcycle helmet and motorcycle tank. Moriah currently lives in Fort Collins with her husband, Paul, her toddler, Fitzgerald, and their dog, Clarke. Flat Track Furies has three issues and is hoping to expand into a full graphic novel. Moriah loves dessert, so if you approach her with a cupcake she will swipe it right out of your hand and eat it. You’ve been warned!

We will close the CF show with an Iconic Comic Book Monsters Quick Draw with audience participation in Panel Room 1.  Several artists will be your guinea pigs.  What happens when a group of local artists are asked by the audience to draw an iconic monster doing something odd?  Pictured are just a few of last year’s art from the Villain Quick Draw.

ComicFest is located on the 12th Floor along with ArtFest and ModelFest.
