After taking some time off HorrorFest is back! This year we have revamped our program and are starting the scares on Friday night at StarFest. Our Friday kick-off contains some great programming, including the Denver Premiere of Christopher Mihm’s Guns of the Apocolypse. Then we want to invite everyone to come up to our room on the mezzanine for a mixer so you can meet with other fans of the horror genre and talk about the weird and strange. The HorrorFest directors also want to get your feedback and get suggestions for future HorrorFest activities. Help us make HorrorFest what you want it to be.

Saturday, we have a huge day packed with Horror goodness. We are going to start off with a screening of House of Ghosts, complete with the writer, director and HorrorFest guest, Christopher Mihm in attendance. Chris will be on hand all weekend with his wife Stephanie to screen the Denver premiere of their brand spankin’ new film Queen of Snakes. On Saturday we also have some great panels hosted by other filmmakers and fans of the horror genre. We have scheduled a couple of great films Snakes Out of Compton andApartment 212, which were produced by local area filmmakers. Those filmmakers will be in attendance at those screenings to get your reactions and comments.

There will be a return of the Horror Trailer Park this year, and we will host a couple of special screenings with our HorrorFest Guest of Honor, Ken Foree(Dawn of the Dead, Devils Rejects, From Beyond, Keenan & Kel). Ken will be around all weekend signing autographs, taking pictures, and doing some Q & A after we screen a couple of his films, The Rift and a special screening of Leatherface Chainsaw Massacre 3 (uncut). We will end HorrorFest with a special surprise screening sponsored by the Gorehound’s Playground group out of Fort Collins.

We are up and running hard. We want to welcome you back to HorrorFest. Please check out the online HorrorFest schedule for movie screening, panels and programming times and locations.
